Who we are

In 1960, William Postlethwaite set up a joinery business.  William was the grandfather of Andrew Postlethwaite, the time served joiner who owns and runs A.B Postlethwaite & Son Ltd, today.

William passed the firm on to this son, Brian, in 1970, following Brian becoming a time served joiner and builder, Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in the trade.  Brian was Andrew’s father and in time honoured fashion, Andrew commenced working with his father until his father’s retirement in 2005, when Andrew took over. 

Andrew’s son Jack will be following his dream of becoming a joiner and is heading to Kendal College to learn joinery trade so that he can follow in his father’s, his grandfather’s and his great grandfather’s footsteps and continue to enhance the Postlethwaite name for quality workmanship.
